About Rosa Vito Video
Rosa Vito Video is the production company of Rose Vitola, a native Texan, who is calling on her considerable skills as both a writer and moviemaker to help people tell their stories.
A graduate of the University of Texas, Rose went on to take her first video
classes at ACTV in Austin, producing a TV series entitled “The Art of….”, in which she interviewed local artists, chefs, and antique dealers.
In the late 80s Rose expanded her horizons and moved to Japan where she interviewed company presidents and other executives for a Tokyo-based business magazine, JapanINC. When you look at her work and note her eye for the universal, you can be sure it is not by accident. Rose not only lived in Japan, but traveled to eighteen countries in all, seeing, hearing, photographing, and learning the kinds of things that contribute so much to the perspective and insight she brings to her work.
In May of 2001, Rose returned to Austin and, inspired by the Fire Fighters of 911, volunteered at Travis County Sheriff’s Office in their Victim Services Unit. As a volunteer she was a first responder to accident and crime scenes where she interviewed witnesses and victims. This was, by far, the most challenging information gathering she had ever done.
It didn’t take Rose long after establishing Rosa Vito Video to regret not starting the project before her mother and father died. Now she encourages parents to provide these interviews for their children, grandchildren, and future heirs to be.
